Dear Fruit Street Families:

The school year 2018-2019 was outstanding!  Students thrived, teachers and staff worked hard to provide a high quality education, and families were engaged in student learning.  I want to take a moment to say hello and introduce myself to the new families of Fruit Street School. My name is Richard Fournier and I have the great pleasure to be the principal at Fruit Street.  This community has always maintained a strong commitment to its children and has valued education. I cannot overstate how invested I am in ensuring that every child in the Bangor School System meets the school department’s mission of Academic Excellence for All Students.

I am extremely excited to be the principal of such an outstanding school community.  This school community has the reputation of caring parents, ambitious students, and a dedicated staff.  I, as well as the entire Fruit Street staff, will work tirelessly to provide the best education possible.  Effective communication, positive school climate, and hard work will help to enhance the academic environment at the Fruit Street School.  I am confident that by working together we can create a successful experience for all children.

The Fruit Street School staff is looking forward to a great year.  We would like to invite you to our annual OPEN HOUSE on Wednesday, August 28 from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.  This open house will be a great opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and for the students to see their classrooms.  I am looking forward to meeting and working with each of you. The first day of school will be Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
