Dear Parent/Guardian:

     The Bangor School Department has a volunteer policy that is now in place.  One of the requirements of this policy is that all volunteers fill out an application and attend a training session even if you were a volunteer last year at Fruit Street.  This is an annual training.  There is a volunteer training session scheduled at the Fruit Street School on Thursday, September, 7th at 6:00-6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria, prior to the first PTO meeting of the year.  After this training session you will sign a form stating you have read the volunteer handbook and attended the training session. Copies of the volunteer handbook will be available in the office.  If you are unable to attend this training we offer training throughout the year, please call the school to set up an appointment. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or drop in.

     The PTO meeting that follows will also be in the café from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This is a fantastic group of parents that provide wonderful enrichment opportunities and much more for our students.  Everyone is encouraged to stay and see what this wonderful organization is all about.
